The best wireless bras for optimum comfort, for every bra size and budget
My collection of wireless bras and I have been inseparable since the dawn of WFH. Gone are the days when beautiful, matching lingerie could be found underneath my office outfit. These days, a comfortable, supportive and seam-free wireless bra is my go-to, and I'm absolutely not mad about it.
Sure, there are days where I ditch my bra altogether – except, of course, for the sports bra I don during my gym sessions or home workouts. I sometimes deem it rather unnecessary to subject myself to pesky, pinching underwire, but, at the same time, strewing my bras to the back of my chest of drawers altogether is a mistake.

What are the best brands for wireless bras?
I've got quite a few wireless bras that I'm keeping on rotation right now, but I've got one clear favourite. I've been shouting from the rooftops about the SKIMS Scoop Neck bra from Kim Kardashian's Fits Everybody range, as it is so comfortable you'll almost forget you are wearing a bra. If you're on the hunt for a wireless bra that's still uber pretty, make a beeline for Dora Larsen's playful designs that are adorned with delicate lace and use vibrant colours.
Is it healthier to go braless?
As ever, we're pro-you here at GLAMOUR, so there's always a choice – but there are actually some expert-backed benefits to wearing a bra, namely the fact that going a long time without any support runs the risk of potentially stretching the Cooper's ligaments in the breasts.
Bra expert Jill Kenton, who has fitted bras for the likes of Madonna and the late Princess Diana, told GLAMOUR: “Wearing no bra at all can cause breasts to sag if the tissue is left with no support." Cosmetic surgeon Dr Dirk Kremer of Harley St. Aesthetics also agreed, telling us that “wearing a bra can help to stop premature sagging, as it means that the connective tissue within the breast isn't stretched as much throughout the day.”
And that's where my love affair with wireless bras began. I embarked on a quest to find the best wireless bras that genuinely feel like a second skin, so I could support my boobs underneath my summer dresses, but not feel restricted. The result? An edit of wireless bras that are the perfect middle ground between an underwired bra and a sleep bra (or no bra at all). These beauties give shape and support, yet they're comfy, breathable and invisible under most clothing. Result.
How should a wireless bra fit?
You can fit your wireless bra in the same way as an underwired bra – and as always it can always be helpful to have a professional fitting. There is no need to size up or down when purchasing a wireless bra, and you can use the measurements you would typically use to fit a wired bra. The cups should hold your breasts without any overflowing, wrinkles on the cups or space between the bra and your chest. You should also check the underarm to make sure there are no bulges of breast tissue under the armpits and that the fabric isn't digging into your skin. We have a helpful guide to the signs that show you are wearing an ill-fitting bra, and tips for getting the right fit.
