I'm a beauty editor and these are the 28 new products I'm buying in 2024

Chalk it up to a tired ingredients roster or overexposure on TikTok – either way, the new year brings with it an appetite for change. And the best beauty buys of 2024 so far won't disappoint; they're anything but predictable and promise to reinvigorate a lacklustre skincare, makeup and hair routine.
It's also a time for careful curation to ensure that our regimes don't balloon to excess while simultaneously ensuring we streamline to just Holy Grail products. You know the ones: the science-backed serum that targets specific concerns rather than adopting a scattergun effect. The haircare product that is so out-of-this world it could have been created by a NASA scientist and makeup with superior blending and punchy pigments to make skin sing.

Chanel No.1 de Chanel The Red Camelia Revitalising Mask
Sustainably farmed red camellia japonica is the hero ingredient of the Chanel No.1 range. Rich in a powerful antioxidant known as protocatechuic acid, it may also slow down the onset of cellular senescence – a natural process in which ageing skin cells lie dormant, causing dryness, dullness and slackness in the skin. Paired with two gently exfoliating AHAs, this face mask ensures your skin has the glow of a love-struck teenager.
Merit Flush Balm Rouge
When sharp contours seem like too much work, smudge this creamy tint into the skin. Powder pigments ensure long-lasting wear, while vitamin E simultaneously conditions the skin.
£30, available 24th January from Merit Beauty.
Gucci Gloss à Lèvres
Rather than hark back to 90s nostalgia, Gucci’s first-ever gloss is the definition of a modern lip, depositing a glaze of sheer colour without the blinding sheen. There is also hyaluronic acid for 8-hour hydration and plumping ingredients, while shades range from light pink to shiny scarlet and tan.
REN PHA Exfoliating Facial
Sensitive skin types might want to explore this gentle 2-minute exfoliator as an alternative to an abrasive peel. A triple threat of enzymes, pomegranate seed powder and gluconic acid work exclusively on the skin's surface to resurface and refine skin texture, without irritation.
£34, available 1st March from REN.
Glossier Full Orbit Eye Cream
There’s a mesmerising appeal in dialling down puffy under eyes and ironing out crow’s feet. Leave it to Glossier to bring out the big guns with a moisture-retaining, brightening blend of hyaluronic acid, polyglutamic acid, niacinamide and algae to refresh your peepers.
£28, available 22nd January from Glossier.
K18 Damage Shield Shampoo & Conditioner
K18’s Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask won an Editor’s Choice Award at GLAMOUR’s 2022 Beauty Power List Awards for its bond-building peptide formula that left hair glossy and bouncy in just four minutes. Now the brand is back with a daily cleanse routine that contains moisture-locking ceramides and polysaccharides that create a shield on your hair to protect against UV rays, pollution and heat styling for up to three days. A must-have for city dwellers.
£39, available 6th February from K18 Hair.
Jo Malone Red Hibiscus Cologne Intense
Perfume is like a wormhole to other places – in the case of Jo Malone's Red Hibiscus, much needed tropical climes on a wintery day. If you’re a fan of florals, this humid and bright juice has signature scent potential.
Pantene Bond Repair Shampoo + Conditioner + Treatment
Seven years in the making, this intensive treatment is designed to help mitigate damage caused by heat, colour and general wear and tear – all of which, destroys lipids inside your strands. To help rebuild the bonds, tiny pearls essentially dissolve on contact with your hair, releasing nutrients and lipids. It’s speedy, too – simply apply to wet hair for three minutes to reap the shiny rewards.

The Inkey List Bio-Active Ceramide Repairing and Plumping Moisturiser
Ceramides are the workhorses of the skincare world, doing the heavy lifting when it comes to repairing the skin barrier and locking in moisture. The Inkey List is harnessing the power of a next generation ceramide that is made up of a shorter chain of molecules, so it penetrates more deeply and strengthens multiple layers of skin for a complexion that is smoother than a crisp hotel pillow.
CeraVe Advanced Repair Ointment
Sound the cult product klaxon! CeraVe’s viral Repair Ointment (with 22 million views on TikTok and counting) has finally landed in the UK. The souped up formula boasts hyaluronic acid to draw in moisture, while ceramides and petrolatum form a waterproof barrier on the skin’s surface to lock it in for much needed calm, whether you have sensitised skin or eczema.
Dermalogica Pro-Collagen Banking Serum
Collagen banking is exactly as it sounds: shore up enough collagen today while your body is still efficient at making it, to soften the blow later down the line. Dermalogica’s approach can boost your efforts as amino acids and antioxidants help to protect against collagen-degrading free radicals. The cherry on top is this serum’s claim to make cheeks and jawline look firmer in just seven days; joyful news indeed given skin starts to lose 1% of collagen each year after the age of 25.

Dior Capture Totale Hyalushot Cosmetic Wrinkle Filler
If smoothing that persistent frown line is a beauty goal for 2024, let us introduce you to this targeted treatment from Dior. Touted as an alternative to Botox, the fine tipped applicator is designed to fill in lines using a patented duo of hyaluronic acid, which reportedly has three times the benefits of a hyaluronic injection, and reduces the look of lines by 45% over just four hours.
Clarins Multi Active Day Cream
Another key skincare trend for 2024 is solutions for stressed-out skin. Leading the charge are scientists at Clarins, who have zeroed in on how stress magnifies fine lines, uneven skin tone, dehydration and a lack of luminosity. The reformulated Multi Active Day Cream contains 2% niacinamide, a multitasker known for its skin-smoothing, pore-refining and collagen-boosting properties. But more impressively, Clarins has collaborated with Takasago, a neuroscience fragrance house in Japan, to include relaxing scent molecules that keep you in a blissed-out state.
£52, available 1st February from Clarins.
Laura Mercier Real Flawless Weightless Perfecting Concealer

Three game-changing technologies, typically found in clinic, happily coexist in this first-of-a-kind handheld device: Electrical Muscle Stimulation to give the scaffolding of your skin a lift; Radio Frequency for contoured cheeks and LED to boost glow and improve skin elasticity.
£499, available 15th January from Cult Beauty.

Elizabeth Arden Retinol + HPR Ceramide Capsules Rapid Skin Renewing Serum
Elizabeth Arden is driving the idea that combining retinol and HPR is a less aggressive – but not less effective – solution to rejuvenating lacklustre skin. Following the success of last year’s Retinol + HPR Ceramide Water Cream, the new pre-measured capsules deliver a precise dose of skin-firming peptides and HPR, a next-generation retinoid 10 times more potent than pure retinol, to visibly soften the look of wrinkles in just one week.
£51 for 30 capsules, available on 10th February from John Lewis.
Murad Cellular Hydration Repair Serum
A constant cycle of hot air indoors and biting temperatures outside can wear away at your skin's protective barrier. Factor in other moisture-sappers such as over-exfoliation and solace for your skin comes in the form of fatty acids, peptides and hyaluronic acid found in this serum.
£72, available 1st February from Murad.
Mecca Cosmetica Lip De-Luscious SPF20
Mecca is launching its second product in the UK – and it’s an all-time favourite in Australia. L'Oreal Paris Volume Million Lashes Panorama Mascara
Meet your shortcut to inky-black, fanned-out lashes. With a flick of the wrist and a bigger, multi-level bristle brush, it grabs even the tiniest lashes and sculpts them into full-figured curls.
Maybelline Build-A-Brow
The Instagram brow requires two things: precision and a pin-thin nib to add definition. Not only does Maybelline’s first-ever brow pen create slick, hair-like strokes, this 2-in-1 product also has a built-in water-resistant sealing gel to lock them in place with no crunchy finish.
Act + Acre Microbiome Cooling Scalp Serum
With its cool, minimalist aesthetic and luxury formulas, Act + Acre has elevated the scalp care category. Following the success of the Cold Processed Stem Cell Serum, which had an 18,000+ person waiting list in 2019 after selling out, the brand’s new serum focuses specifically on banishing dandruff. Skin-soothing peppermint oil is its first line of defence before amino acids step in to restore balance, dial down itchiness and banish flakes.
Drunk Elephant Bora Barrier Repair Cream
Certain factors stall skin's ability to stay plump and hydrated. Drunk Elephant's thickest, richest cream to date slips effortlessly into your routine and is clinically proven to deliver 24-hour moisture with barrier-replenishing ceramides and potent antioxidants.

Gisou Honey-Infused Wild Rose Hair Perfume
Hair perfumes have become the Swiss Army knife of the fragrance world, coating strands in microfine conditioners and delectable scents. None more so than this new offering from Gisou. It conditions crispy ends with the brand’s iconic Mirsalehi Honey while releasing a garden-like medley of rhubarb, rose, gardenia and jasmine, which only gets better as the day wears on as the scent is amplified by the hair's natural movement.
Nécessaire The Body Retinol
Facial-grade ingredients for the skin below the jawline are a major 2024 skincare trend. Leading the charge is this serum-in-balm spiked with 0.1% Pure Retinol and 10% AHAs to stimulate cell turnover and iron out crepiness while you sleep.
Tom Ford Private Blend Vanilla Sex
Vanilla is often a core tenet of saccharine teen perfumes. But here the ingredient not only smells grown-up but it drapes sexily across your skin like a silk camisole. Powered by three different types of vanilla – ranging from the soft and sensual to rich and leathery – alongside a dash of heady jasmine, creamy sandalwood and powdery orris, it’s perfect for date night.
Diptyque Fleur De Peau Hand and Body Lotion
Perfume is a bit clingy; it needs to land on moisturised skin in order to be long lasting. Suffice to say, layering this mellow blend of cotton-light musks, powdery iris blossom and ambrette (a musky, floral ingredient with a hint of Cognac) will boost the matching Eau de Parfum. Or apply solo to reap the benefits of skin that smells and feels velvety to the touch.
