The 2022 Christmas drop of Emily in Paris season three officially feels like a lifetime ago, and we're ready to go back to Paris with Emily and the gang for a fourth instalment of the Netflix smash show. And luckily, the gang seem to be back on the streets of Paris with filming officially underway. According to Tatler, star Lily Collins was recently spotted filming in the French capital alongside none other than Brigitte Macron, the wife of French president Emmanuel Macron — apparently, she's set to have a cameo in season 4.
Both Netflix and Lily Collins previously announced that the show was back in production in January. “BONJOUR SEASON FOUR… Emily in Paris is back in production,” read the streamer's social media post.
Alongside the post was a photo, also shared by Lily, showing the title star holding her script for ‘episode 401’ for a table read dated 17 January 2024. Also note: her adorable Eiffel tower-adorned shirt.

“Did someone say Saison Quatre?! Finally reunited with my @emilyinparis fam back in Paris and it feels so good. Although, I may need to brush up on my selfie skills for Emily’s sake,” Lily captioned her own Instagram update, which also featured a video of her attempting to pose with her script (taken by an as yet unknown… co-star, perhaps?).
Lily has already given us a few hints about what's to come in the next series. Apparently, Emily will be heading out of Paris during the fourth season. During Netflix's TUDUM event in 2023, Lily weighed in on what we can expect for the new season, and apparently a trip to Rome is on the list.
"While Emily's heart will always remain true to Paris, her life takes some unexpected twists this season," she said. “Don't be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday.”

According to a teaser video released by Netflix last year, the show might also see Emily travelling as far as Tokyo.

Has Emily In Paris been renewed yet?
Back in January of 2022, following the premiere of the show's second season, Emily in Paris was renewed for season three and four at the same time.

Though Netflix shows — even those that have been relatively well-received — are known for getting abruptly cancelled after just one or two seasons, you can rest easy in knowing that a fourth season is guaranteed to be forthcoming.
Is there a release date for Emily in Paris season 4?
The premiere date for season four has yet to be announced, so all we have to go on at the moment are some educated guesses.
Seasons two and three of Emily In Paris both premiered at the end of December right before Christmas, so if we had to place a bet, we'd say look out for a late December 2024 premiere date. But we'll keep you posted.

Lily Collins will be back as the titular Emily, of course, and there have been no announced shakeups to any of the rest of the regular cast. (Hopefully season four will also include at least one appearance by Kate Walsh as Emily's former American boss.)

More importantly, we're keeping our eyes open for any new characters that might be introduced. Another love interest perhaps? When in Paris, one can never have too many.
