An honest Revitalash Advance Eyelash Serum review 2024

AKA, the lash serum Meghan Markle swears by.

In 2020, like most, I became just another outlandish millennial on TikTok. The algorithm lured me into the deep depths of eyelash serum TikTok – real specific, I know. I became hideously jealous of all the stunning girls batting their naturally long, full and curly lashes right at me in ultra HD.

I’ve never really had much of a problem with my eyelashes. They are very average, not really long, not very short, not really that curly or full. They’re the most basic of lashes. I just felt they needed a little bit of *spice*. Mascara completely boosts my confidence, so the possibility of waking up with natural bat-worthy lashes sounded like an unmissable opportunity.

When I realised there was no getting out of this rabbit hole, I knew I had to try an eyelash growth serum for myself. And the only eyelash serum I seemed to be hearing about, from TikTokers, beauty editors and friends was Revitalash Advanced. It’s so popular that it’s sold every 30 seconds around the world. It’s one of the only eyelash serums available that has been developed by ophthalmologists / medical eye specialists. Even Meghan Markle has credited her long lashes to serum, specifically Revitalash Advanced, in an interview with Allure. So, I placed an order.

About the brand:

Revitalash was formulated by Dr Michael Brinkenhoff for his courageous wife Gayle who lost her hair, brows and lashes following chemotherapy in 2006. He wanted to make her feel beautiful again. If that story isn’t heartwarming enough, Revitalash is still a family-owned business and continues to be a year-round supporter of breast cancer awareness, research and education.

Product deep dive + Revitalash before & after pictures:

Revitalash advises to use it for at least six weeks before you can expect to see results. I’ve now been swiping the conditioning serum across my lashes before bed for around six months, on and off. To sum this product up; I’ve had numerous friends and family physically inspect my lashes to check whether or not I’m lying about them being real. The improvement is phe-nom-en-al!

I’d say I began to see a difference after about two weeks and everyone else started to see a difference after four. At one point, I actually had to have a break from using it as my lashes became so long they were creeping into my brows. This whole time, I’ve been using the same 2ml tube and I still haven’t run out. Of course, I’m yet to see how long this tube will last, but it's definitely longer than the promised three months. Result.

I expected my lashes to become longer, but I was super surprised about the increased volume, curl and even darkness of them. I’ve since looked into it and Revitalash claims that most users see a 31° curl increase, so major!

Once or twice I applied the product in the morning when I knew I was working from home with no makeup. I’d avoid doing this, as after constant use the product can cause slight irritation, meaning that during the day you’re inclined to rub them, making it worse. For me, the irritation was redness no more than how I’d look if I’d just been crying. After a day off the product, my eyelids would return to normal again. Revitalash have just launched an advanced conditioner for sensitive skin, which is a great substitute if you're prone to sensitive skin around the eye area.

Since so many friends have been commenting on my lashes, many of them who I presumed were blessed with naturally glorious lashes, have actually been using Revitalash the whole time. The same goes for random conversations with multiple women in ladies bathrooms, I was surprised to find out how many are obsessed with this product.

The verdict:

I’ve never been quite so hyped about a product, I will without a doubt be adding it to my daily skincare routine. Now my lashes are at a length I’m happy with, I’ll use Revitalash Advanced 2-3 times a week to maintain them. Seriously, run, don’t walk to buy some.
