Rihanna's bang evolution has come full circle. The star has served up some iconic fringe hairstyles over the years, from seriously cute curtain bangs to close-cropped asymmetric and even side-swept pieces in her pixie era.

But her most recent look proves that her glamorous go-to is an ultra-sleek, wispy fringe that grazes her lashes.

At the launch of the Fenty x PUMA collab in London on April 17, Rihanna opted for a grey oversized blazer, charcoal pleated trousers and a matching shirt – and of course, Fenty x PUMA trains in a similar shade.

She paired the look with very long hair, styled poker straight. But the defining feature was the full, waterfall fringe that falls straight across her forehead, with feathery gradient pieces that frame (and flatter) her temples, cheekbones and jaw.

As you can see in the snaps that her makeup artist Priscilla Ono shared on Instagram, her fringe has just the right amount of thickness and flips under with the merest hint of root lift.

Rihanna's new hair is a dramatic deviation from her most recent hairstyle – a bouncy, '50s inspired bouffant bob. While the colour still leans into blonde, it is a lighter, wheat-like hue than the golden hair she sported in her recent Savage X Fenty campaign.

While Rihanna's new haircut has whipped us straight back to Fenty’s after-party at Paris Fashion Week in 2019, the fresh update screams both mob wife and cool boss girl – a multihypenate that only RiRi could pull off.

Makeup wise, Rihanna worked her signature winged black eyeliner with a flash of cherry red matte lipstick and long nails in the same shade.

Rihanna the beauty chameleon is back and she's leaving all other fringe styles in the shade.
