The classic hairstyle has had over 8 billion hits on TikTok, and for 2024, bob haircuts have continued to lead trends and recruit disciples. Why? The cropped-length feels fresh, stylish, practical, groomed and a little bit audacious all at the same time. That's why it remains a hit amongst tastemakers like Hailey Bieber, Ciara, Lori Harvey and Elsa Hosk.

It was only a matter of time before TikTok's favourite mob wife aesthetic was adapted into a shorter length to give us the mob bob. The style takes the swish, bounce and sass of longer-length mob wife hair but takes the inches shorter. Setting out the trend on TikTok, hair stylist and educator Faye Redfern explained: "[There’s] a lot of fullness on the ends […] a lot of swing in the blow dry, so it looks really fun and curved.” The takeaway? Volume and flowiness is everything.

We've noticed all the cool-girls gravitating toward one bob in particular.
